Back-to-School Glow: Quick Morning Skincare Routine for Moms

Back-to-School Glow: Quick Morning Skincare Routine for Moms - Sente Labs

While few of us care to admit it, we’re in the waning days of summer. Alongside cooling temperatures, shorter days, and the last hurrahs of patio parties or sunny strolls on the beach, one other pressing concern comes to mind – particularly for busy moms.

It’s back-to-school season. What does that mean for you? Rushed mornings making sure the kids are fed, dressed, and ready for another day of fun and learning.

It also means you’ll need to prep your morning skincare routine to be quick, efficient, and effective. Here are a few tips on how to do just that.

It’s As Easy As 1-2-3...4

School-day mornings are bound to be hectic – that’s why Sentè’s Complete Repair System Kit is a great way to get started with developing a simple yet highly effective A.M. regimen. The kit contains four different products in a trial size:

The whole routine takes only a matter of minutes. First, apply the Daily Soothing Cleanser to your fingertips, add water, and gently cleans the face using a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly. Then, place one or two pumps of Bio Complete Serum on your fingertips and gently rub into your skin, allowing a short period of time afterward for it to absorb.

Then, apply a single pump of Dermal Repair Cream onto your fingertips and one again gently rub it into your skin. The same goes for the sunscreen – though the amount may differ – particularly if you plan to spend the last days of August, or the first of September, out and about.

Taking Care of Your Skin 24/7

While we just covered the particulars of a quick and easy skincare routine, there are some more general things you can do to ensure your skin remains healthy and you are looking your best.

  • Reduce stress: The Mayo Clinic is pretty clear about this one. Making sure that you get enough sleep, cut back on the to-do list and make sure you’re taking care of your mental and emotional health at any cost. A bit of exercise can also be invaluable in this regard – good for mind, body, and soul.
  • Wash items that frequently touch your face: This may seem somewhat obvious, but it’s vital you regularly wash any items which frequently touch your skin, your face in particular. Pillowcases, makeup sponges, and towels are the most frequent offenders. Also, be sure to regularly wipe down your phone with disinfectant wipes.
  • Stop smoking: According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association, “Smoking speeds up how quickly your skin ages. If you smoke, your wounds will also take longer to heal. And research shows that smoking worsens some skin diseases.”

By engaging in all of the above, and by making sure you also ensure you’re covering the basics of hydration (drink enough water, avoid long or too-hot baths / showers) you’ll be prepared to get the kids out the door while looking great doing so.

Here’s to a stressless (or at least, less stressful) school year!
